Sick

Yesterday, I had high hopes that Kennedy would be feeling better today. I got lucky...she is. She's sleeping A LOT, but she's not getting sick anymore. For that, I am extremely thankful.

(Sick thing 1)

But, if I'm having to number sick children, you know what that means...

(sick thing 2)

...yep, she's got it now. I went back to work today. 3 hours into my day, I notice a missed call on my cell phone. It was the assistant in Kayt's class. She had thrown up, etc. at school. I'm quite proud that my sweet girl made it to the bathroom. I so remember kids getting sick at school and they just covered it up with that oatmeal-y looking stuff. Anyone else old enough to remember that? I don't think I ever threw up at school....Kayt did it in exactly one week. My poor baby! We'd appreciate all prayers that these sweet girls get well soon!

Kennedy is 7 months old (and 3 days!)

Happy 7 months, Kennedy!

My sweet angel turned 7 months old on Sunday. While I managed to get the pictures taken that day, posting is a whole other story! Here's what my girl has been up to lately!

*You started daycare on Monday. You started throwing up Tuesday night. Two whole days! Wow! It's going to be a long first few months while you build up your immune system.

*You roll all over the place. If you see a toy that you can't reach, you will roll, twist, and turn to get to it. It's fun to watch you.

*You are thinking about crawling. You use your arms to pull the back half of you places. As soon as you figure out how to get those knees under your, we are in trouble!

*You are starting to babble more. "G" is your favorite sound. You talk even more when your sister is around. You must think she's pretty special. (We do too!)

*You are still wearing size 3 diapers and 9 or 12 month clothes. Mostly 12 month, these days. Your Marme bought ahead and we thought you were going to be smaller than your sister. We were wrong...you have lots of clothes you wont be able to wear.

*You are such a good sleeper. Except at daycare...you don't sleep there at all.

*I love this silly face! You make a lot of them!

*You still like your bottle more than real food. I keep thinking that will change...maybe when you get to table foods?

You have been recovering from being sick today. You snuggle so good when you don't feel good. I hate to even put you down, but you sleep better on your own. Build up that immune system so Momma and Daddy can have their happy girl back! We love you so much!

My kindergarten girl!

Thursday was a BIG day at our house! It was Kaythlen's very first day of kindergarten! We went to open house on Tuesday night and found out that she has a sweet teacher named Mrs. Tammie. We also found out (and I am super excited) that one of her sweet little friends, Maddie, is in her class. It's always nice to know that your kid is starting off the year with a sweet friend!

Is it sad that my 4-year-old poses as soon as I pull out the camera? ha! Her daddy and I took her. We walked her into the class, got her settled, and said goodbye. And I must report that I DID NOT CRY! Maybe because I didn't want to deal with Steve making fun of me, or maybe because Kaythlen was just SO excited. Either way, I was extremely proud of myself.

But, I'm even more proud of my Kay-t-bug! I'm loving watching you love to learn! You make your Momma and Daddy so proud, sweet girl! We love you!

Update

Now that Kennedy is almost 7-months-old (this Sunday), I'm finally adding that she weighed 18 lbs, 11oz at her check-up and was 26 inches long. She's 75th percentile for height and head circum. and 95th percentile for weight. I do make big babies!
