Air Show

While we were in Columbia, my girls got to go to their first air show (and so did I).  I was worried about how they would handle it, but Kaythlen was in love with all of the planes.  Kennedy figured out how to find them in the sky and would just point and say "Weeeeee" over and over again.  She's even started noticing them more at home now.  I will warn you...this post is full of pictures and I have NO idea which plane is what.  Here are Kayt and Steve checking one out.

The pilots were even nice enough to pose with all the kids (big and little, hehe) for pics.

The Canadian parachute team jumped with both Canadian and American flags.  My girls LOVED this part!

Kayt got to sit inside the biggest plane there.

She even got to go up to the cockpit and check it out.  

Her Daddy was nice and suffered in the heat of the plane so she could see it all.

Just because

So I know I was playing catch up, and I have one more post to go, but I took these pictures today and thought they were too cute to wait!  I got the girls these outfits to wear at the beach.  Glad I took pics in them today, because while they are cute, the color is not striking me as "beachy".  Guess I have to reevaluate my picture ideas.  Anyway, the girls had fun playing together, which just melts my heart!

Kennedy stole my lens cap and was not about to give it back....chase is one of her favorite games these days!

My big girl!  She sat on the zebra to get Kennedy to do it....think she thought it was hers to keep.  She's a little big, but it got me a real smile instead of that fake one I usually get.

Visit to Missouri

We went to visit my best friend and her family in Missouri.  She used to live here, but she abandoned me....aka her husband got a new job that paid a lot more money for which people tend to move.  They love it in Columbia.  I can't handle the 6.5 hour drive by myself with the two girls, so we went Memorial Day weekend so Steve could go too.  About 15 minutes from her house is a small winery that overlooks the Missouri River, so we went to check it out.  Here's a pic of the whole family....we don't have many of these because a) I hate to be in pictures and b) I'm usually taking the pictures.  Alison was fabulous and took one for us.  Kennedy was even looking at the camera.

Steve was even nice enough to get Kennedy up and down steps (and hillsides) in the stroller.

Blanket fun

I guess I'm too old, but I had forgotten what fun a blanket can be.  My girls took this one and had a blast.  At first, Kayt spread it out and they just snuggled on it for a while.

 Then, it was great fun for Kennedy to stand on it while Kayt pulled her around the house.  Standing quickly turned into sitting  to make me feel a little bit better about the idea.

Kennedy decided it was great fun to put the blanket on her head and try to walk around.  Never have I been more glad about our choice to purchase a cushioned ottoman for a coffee table.  hehe

Catch up

So the next few posts are pictures that I took in May....I'm going to play catch up for a few days.  Then we'll move on to the fun summer months....right after I remember to take pictures again.  I'm so much worse at this than I thought I would be.  Kennedy has discovered that she has her own chair and she is owning it.  hehe

She gets her juice (water) and just kicks back!

She has also discovered the tupperware cabinet.  She sets her very own table.  She's determined to pull it all out.

But it entertains her for hours!
